The year is coming to a close and many are looking forward to 2021, given the events of this past year.
Yet it’s not like the clock strikes midnight and everything is better again.
Writing a query letter is harder than writing a book.
Why? When writing a book, you put down what comes to mind. Then you edit and clean up the text so that it makes sense.
But a query letter requires a specific structure and there is a desperation behind it that the book did not have.
A need to get people you do not know to listen long enough to say, “I will take a chance on you”.
