How it Ends

How it Ends

Thirty years ago a story germinated in my imagination. I had a particular beginning and an ending, but no way to get there.

In 2018, I picked up the story and although the beginning was similar, the ending was not. More than 300,000+ words later I thought I had a winner.

Then I learned that I had to pare it down to under 120,000 words, based on the genre and being a new author.

As I sat to rewrite the necessary parts and tie the pieces together, somehow, magically, the original ending came back.

Amazing how that happened, and a solid win.

Did you enjoy books that included an alternate ending?
