Can I say that I am NOT enjoying writing query letters? Is that okay to admit out loud?
Seriously, they’re more difficult to think about and parse out than the book was!
Especially when the book started with many more words than where it’s at now. After cutting so much out, how do you narrow it even further, into one page? Into one sentence?
Query letters are the real challenge as a writer, thus far.
The first query letters are going out over the weekend. Going through them collaboratively, we continued to tweak and amend until we could both agree. But high fives happened.
